The pressure is building for Spanish football league champion Barcelona. Rival Real Madrid continues to dominate the Primera Liga thanks to a powerful scoring display. Barcelona would try to keep close with a win over Getafe on Saturday. But Pep Guardiola's team came out flat against a fired-up Getafe side.

Barca seemed a step slow and Getafe took command from the beginning of the match. Getafe's goalkeeper denied David Villa's shot. Lionel Messi tried, but he also failed to find the target. The two sides ended the first half 0-0.

The tension grew in the second half and Getafe fought its way into a 66th minute lead. Juan Varela headed-in a score off a corner kick; Getafe went up 1-0.

Barcelona supporters were expecting the worst.

But their team would have a chance to level the score. Scoring star Messi wasted his final effort in stoppage time. Getafe grabs the upset, 1-0 over Barcelona.
