In the ongoing Pacific-Asia Curling Championships held in Nanjing, the host team China was facing a tough challenge from South Korea, a nation they lost to during last years championships.

The Koreans were also able to score a win over China this year. Wang Bingyus rink was able to score three in the opening end and led 3-nothing.

The South Korean rink was able to take advantage of some poor shots and clawback and held a 5-3 lead after the fifth end. The Chinese foursome would retake the lead in the 6th end, scoring three thanks to a nice take out in the frame. Chinas Wang Bingyu would add to the total in and go on to a 9-7 victory.

Watch Video Play Video A long-awaited moment for China at the Asian Winter Games. It happened during a gold medal run in the women's 1500 meters speed skating event. Chinese skater Wang Fei raced her way into the record books. She set a new Asian mark for the 1500 metres, crossing the line at 1 minute 58.37 seconds. It was 1-and-a-half seconds under the previous record time she set four years ago. South Korean Noh Seonyeong took second place. The bronze went to Japanese skater Kodaira Nao.
