Torch relay continues in Nansha Olympic Square

The torch relay of Guangzhou 2010 Asian Para Games flame was held in Nansha Olympic Square on Thursday. It is the fifth day relay.


Yan Xiaoming, a senior Party official in Guangzhou, lit the torch and gave it to the first torchbearer Qin Hailu. She is the National Class-A actress as well as the ambassador of Love of the China Disabled Persons' Federation. Ninety six torchbearers took part in a near 8 Kilometer relay, among which there were almost 20 disabled people. A two-time paralympic champion Yang Yanling, the player of the China's women's sitting volleyball team was the last to grasp the torch. The torch relay will continue in Guangzhou Gymnasium on Friday.
