Interview: Asian Para Games carry Paralympic spirit

Sir Philip Craven, President of the International Paralympic Committee describes China's efforts for disabled sports as 'immense, exciting and ongoing'. On the eve of the first Asian Para Games, the former wheelchair basketball paralympian shared his anticipation for the event and insight into China's contribution, in an interview with CCTV News.


Q1.You have been to Guangzhou several times, how do you rate the city's efforts for the Asian Para Games?


Q2.Many countries have sent unprecedented delegations to the Asian Para Games. For example South Korea, Japan and Thailand each has a delegation of more than 200. Do you think the number shows the popularity of disability sports in Asia? How do you think the para games will carry forward the paralympic spirit?
