Heat beat Jazz 111-98 for 6th consecutive victory

In NBA, the Miami Heat took on the Utah Jazz, LeBron James and Dwyane Wade would combine to score 61 points, as the Heat beat the Jazz for their sixth consecutive victory.


In the first quarter, Heat trailing by two, Dwyane Wade's reverse dunk shot brought things level at 10 each.


Late in the quarter, Wade drove in for the layup, Miami extend the lead to four.


Mislap grabbed the rebound off James Jones' miss and raced the length of the court for a layup at the buzzer to pull the Jazz within 28-27 to end the first quarter.


In 2nd quarter, Wade turnover. Al Jefferson followed with a dunk shot, Utah 38, Heat 43.


3rd quarter, James found Wade, who scored with a slam dunk shot, 64-52 Miami Heat leads. (replay)


Less than five minutes from the end of the third quarter, Mislap's layup shot leveled the score at 72.


4th quarter, Wade hit a three to extend the lead to 7 for Miami, 88-81.


3 minutes and 19 seconds from the end, James dunk shot 100-90 form Miami. And the Heat went on to win the game 111-98.


Memphis defeat Phoenix 104-98


Elsewhere, the Memphis Grizzlies entertained the Phoenix Suns.


Memphis were ahead 84-76 midway through the fourth quarter, but Jared Dudley's three-pointer cut the Memphis's lead to five.


That gap was down to three with three minutes left when Hedo Turkoglu connected from long range to tie the game at 86-apiece.


The sides were tied at 88-apiece in the last 20 seconds. Turkoglu shot over Memphis forward Zach Randolph for another three-pointer to put Phoenix were ahead in the dying stages.


With just 2.8 seconds left, Memphis were three points down and in need of something special. Rudy Gay, facing point guard Mike Conley, found a bit of space and nailed the three-pointer to silence the home crowd and send the game into overtime.


In overtime, Zach Randolph took control for Memphis. With the game tied at 96, Randolph's short-range jumper put the Grizzlies ahead.


And in the closing seconds, the pair combined in almost identical fashion, as Memphis won 104-98 to register their first win on the road since November 6th.
