Schalke wins 2-1 at Benfica to top Group B in Champions League

Group B, very much up for grabs as Schalke met Benfica.


Schalke, took the lead in the 19th minute, Raul...setting up Jose Jurado to make it 1-0.


Benedikt Howedes, unmarked inside the area, made it 2-0 in the 81st to secure Schalke's first victory in Portugal.


Benfica needed to win this match, but did get one back with three minutes to play from Luisiao.

Watch Video Play Video A long-awaited moment for China at the Asian Winter Games. It happened during a gold medal run in the women's 1500 meters speed skating event. Chinese skater Wang Fei raced her way into the record books. She set a new Asian mark for the 1500 metres, crossing the line at 1 minute 58.37 seconds. It was 1-and-a-half seconds under the previous record time she set four years ago. South Korean Noh Seonyeong took second place. The bronze went to Japanese skater Kodaira Nao.
