Li Zijun wins youth bronze at Grand Prix finals

One of China's best young hopes in figure skating, looking for a free skate to remember as the youth competition of the Figure Skating Grand Prix came to a close earlier today. Li Zijun, hoping to bring home a medal at home.


13-year-old Li headed into the free skate in fifth following the short program. Her short program was the best performance of her career but she bested that in the long program.


Li, combining strong artistic elements with a solid performance, scored 100.2 points in the long program, jumping her up the leaderboard.


Li Zijun, finishing the youth competition with a total of 149.82 points to win the bronze medal at the Beijing stop of the Figure Skating Grand Prix.


Li, continuing a strong season as she won the youth division of the national's earlier in 2010.
