A team in Japan's top division, Cerezo Osaka, has hit the headlines for the wrong reasons. One of the most bizarre goals you are ever likely to see occurred in their J-League match against Kashima Antlers at the Osaka Nagai Stadium on Sunday.

The hosts, Osaka, were cruising with a one-nil lead midway in the first half. The Kashima Antlers were awarded a free kick and Osaka goal keeper Kim Jin-Hyeon gathered the ball with ease. But then the game took a bizarre twist.

With Kim focussed on where he would place the ball, rival player Yuzo Tashiro, hiding behind him, quickly stole the ball from Kim's feet and scored the equaliser - leaving Kim absolutely distraught. Angry and frustrated at his error, Kim punched and fell to the ground in anguish, while Tashiro and his team mates celebrated the surprise goal. That was just the beginning of a nightmare match for Kim, who let in two more goals - as the Kashima Antlers won the game 3-1.
