Nicky Hayden is used to live on just two wheels but the 2006 MotoGP World Champion was at the Nurburgring on Monday to try out a Mercedes DTM.
Hayden had former Formula One driver David Coulthard beside him to give him some lessons on the more than 3.6 kilometer track. Despite the coaching Hayden found the handling a little difficult and managed to spin the car on a few occasions.
The sixth round of the DTM season takes place at Nurburgring this weekend. Hayden said he enjoyed his experience driving a DTM car but added a switch from MotoGP is not on the cards anytime soon.
Hayden, who races for Ducati, finished seventh in the US MotoGP at Laguna Seca last month. His next race will be the Czech Republic MotoGP in Brno on the 14th.
