FA Cup: Man. United scrape through 1-0 against Crawley Town

Manchester United met non-league Crawley Town in what looked like a mismatch before the game.

Ben Smith tried a 30-metre strike in the first half...but sent it just wide of the mark.

Man U broke the deadlock later in the half.

Darron Gibson sent the pass in...Wes Brown aimed for the header and deflected it past the Crawley 'keeper. Manchester United took a 1-0 advantage into the interval.

Crawley played hard for the equalizer. David Hunt had a chance at 71 minutes, but he flashed his shot just wide.

Two minutes later, it was Matt Tubbs with a try. He aimed to repeat Wayne Rooney's spectacular goal against Manchester City last week, but his overhead kick sailed over the bar.

Man U. turned back every threat from Crawley Town and took the slim win, 1-0.

Wang Fei resets 1500m speed skating Asian record

Watch Video Play Video A long-awaited moment for China at the Asian Winter Games. It happened during a gold medal run in the women's 1500 meters speed skating event. Chinese skater Wang Fei raced her way into the record books. She set a new Asian mark for the 1500 metres, crossing the line at 1 minute 58.37 seconds. It was 1-and-a-half seconds under the previous record time she set four years ago. South Korean Noh Seonyeong took second place. The bronze went to Japanese skater Kodaira Nao.
