Celtics shut down Magic 91-80

Taking a look at the NBA...and there's no love lost between the Orlando Magic and the Boston Celtics. The Magic started hot and forced the Celtic defense to rise to the occasion in a tough matchup at Boston.
Dwight Howard followed through with an alley oop dunk, but the Celtics' Semir Erden delivered a message. Howard had to take a break. (replay) Erden is a 7-footer but he couldn't match "Superman's" power. The Magic led early.
The Celtics still trailed by seven early in the second quarter when Marquis Daniels drove baseline. He collided with Gilbert Arenas and his head hit Arenas' shoulder. Daniels hit the floor face-first and didn't move for several minutes. The Celtics' physician said Daniels suffered a bruised spinal cord and could be sidelined for more than a month.
Boston rallied and took a 46-43 lead on Orlando at the half. But Orlando came back and took a double digit advantage in the second half.
Then Boston struck back. They made nine of their first 10 shots in the third quarter to build their advantage to 81-71.
Rajon Rondo scored inside. The Celtics won the game 91-80.
Heat burn Clippers 97-79
Other match on Sunday...Heat and Clippers at Miami. Clippers took the early lead...but LeBron James answered with a layup and a seat with the photographers. The Heat grabbed a one-point advantage.
Chris Bosh spun his way in for a tough basket to extend the Heat's lead to 10, four minutes into the third quarter. Bosh added 16 points for the Heat.
Now it's time for another Blake Griffin highlight...the young man rumbled downcourt and threw down a windmill du! nk on th e break. Griffin cut Miami's lead to 12, with three minutes left in the quarter.
Eddie House had the hot hand for the Heat in the fourth. His three opened up a 72-61 lead.
Dwayne Wade saw his shot blocked and Baron Davis was on the move to the other end. He coasted in for a layup four-and-a-half minutes into the fourth. It was the Clippers first basket of the quarter.
