Usain Bolt wins men's 200m in Daegu

Despite the agony of false-starting in the 100-metres final last Sunday, it was a very relaxed Usain Bolt who took his place in Saturday's final of the 200-metres in Daegu.
There was nothing sluggish about Bolt's 200 metre display. Bolt surged in front and stayed there,taking the line in 19.40 seconds-his fourth-fastest 200 in history.
Walter Dix of the United States won his second sprint silver in 19.70 and Frenchman Christophe Lemaitre earned bronze.
Sally Pearson wins women's 100m hurdles
Sally Pearson had been threatening something very special in the 100-metres hurdles and she broke the Championship record, but not the world record, in 12.28 seconds-her fastest time since 1992. American Danielle Carruthers took silver ahead of compatriot Dawn Harper, with both given the same time of 12.47 seconds.
US win women's 4x400m relay
The United States won the Women's 4 x 400-metre relay final with three minutes, 18.09 seconds, giving Allyson Felix a women's record seventh World Championship gold medal.
Anna Chicherova claims women's high jump
Anna Chicherova of Russia won the gold medal in the women's high jump, clearing 2.03 metres. Two-time defending champion Blanka Vlasic of Croatia took silver, clearing the same height but losing on the countback.
Asbel Kiprop tops men's 1,500m
Asbel Kiprop was the fastest in the men's 1,500 metres. He won in three minutes, 35.69 seconds to give Kenya its sixth gold medal of the World Championships.
Matthias De Zordo wins men's javelin
Matthias De Zordo of Germany upset favourite Andreas Thorkildsen of Norway to win the men's javelin his opening throw of 86.27 me! tres goo d enough to give him the title.
