China's women's national football team back in action at the Asian qualifying tournament for the 2012 London Olympics - The Chinese women opened with a pair of draws and needed a win over Thailand to stay alive as they were back in action on Monday night in Jinan, Shandong province.

China is expected to take win over Thailand who is considered the minnows of the tournament and who came in on the backs of two consecutive losses. China would take control of this one from the get go - 29th minute, and Zhou Feifei with the cross into the area but Han Duan's header goes just wide.

China would take the lead, five minutes before the break as the Thailand keeper uncharacteristically bluffed a goal kick and the ball kindly fell into the path of You Jia, the forward made no mistake in firing the ball into the far corner. China 1-0.

A corner kick resulted in a header relay; Xu Yuan duly finished the play with a header at far post. 2-0, China cruised to a win and collected three points which leaves them in third place. China, must now win out to have a chance to qualify for London.

Li Xiaopeng, Chinas Head Coach, said, "There is only one way for us to move on, it will be easy to tell whether we stay alive or dead. If there were two roads available, I think it would be harder for us. The table leaves the points situation clear. We don't need goal differential any more, we must win all the games. I think we have hope. "
