Ukraine's Saladuha claims women's triple jump

Olha Saladuha of Ukraine won the women's triple jump at the world championships on Thursday, beating world indoor champion Olga Rypakova of Kazakhstan. Caterine Ibarguen became Colombia's first female medalist at the world championships with a bronze.

Watch Video Play Video A long-awaited moment for China at the Asian Winter Games. It happened during a gold medal run in the women's 1500 meters speed skating event. Chinese skater Wang Fei raced her way into the record books. She set a new Asian mark for the 1500 metres, crossing the line at 1 minute 58.37 seconds. It was 1-and-a-half seconds under the previous record time she set four years ago. South Korean Noh Seonyeong took second place. The bronze went to Japanese skater Kodaira Nao.
