Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers hosted the Dallas Mavericks. The Lakers looked to make it 10 home court wins in a row, but the game turned physical in the fourth quarter. Four players were ejected.

Dirk Nowitzki hit a bucket and drew a foul. He had 27 points and 13 rebound for the night. The Mavs held a second quarter lead.

The Lakers' Ron Artest answered. He nailed a wide open three to put L-A back on top.

Fourth quarter, the Lakers began to get some distance. Lamar Odom drained back-to-back threes. L-A built up an 18 point cushion.

Then, things got tense. Jason Terry pushed Steve Blake to the floor. Blake got up and went face-to-face with Terry. The Dallas guard was tossed. So were Matt Barnes and Brendan Haywood, and L-A's Shannon Brown was ejected in a separate incident. Blake, the former Maryland Terrapin, wouldn't back down from the challenge.

Kobe Bryant and the Lakers were in charge. He hit a three point play, and L-A wins, 110-82. Los Angeles is now within 2 games of slumping San Antonio for the best record in the league.
