AFC Champions League: Shandong Luneng crush Arema 5-0

Chinese Super League giants Shandong Luneng played Indonesia's Arema at home in a Group G match. It proved to be a one-sided game for the CSL side.

24th minute, and national striker Deng Zhuoxiang steps into the box and tapped in a loose ball from close range, 1-0 Shandong.

Right before the break, Manuel backheels in a neat cross, which beat the keeper 2-0 Shandong.

In the 70th minute, Han Peng was released by Deng, and the striker fired into the back of the net and it is 3-nil for the Chinese side.

Later Mozhapa and Wang Yongpo each scored as Shandong went on to close out a easy 5-0 victory, solidifying their position atop of Group G.

Tianjin Teda lose to Melbourne Victory 2-1

In other action Tianjin Teda visited the Melbourne Victory.

The visitors opened the scoring in the 37th minute, Chen Tao launched a superb solo run and fired a diagonal low strike, which rolled into back of the net, 1-0 Tianjin.

But the home side leveled the match a minute before half time, Carlos Hernandez curls a deep free kick which bounced into the net, 1-all.

Tianjin captain Cao Yang brought down Robbie Kruse in th! e area. That earned the hosts a spot kick.

Kevin Muscat stepped up to convert the goal, as the home side went on to win the match 2-1. But Tianjin still top the table with 7 points in Group E.

Tianjin Teda visited the Melbourne Victory.

Chinese skater Wang Fei raced her way into the record books. She set a new Asian mark for the 1500 metres, crossing the line at 1 minute 58.37 seconds. It was 1-and-a-half seconds under the previous record time she set four years ago. South Korean Noh Seonyeong took second place. The bronze went to Japanese skater Kodaira Nao.
