Interview: Zhang Jilong at work as AFC Acting President
Zhang Jilong is getting down to work as the acting president of the Asian Football Confederation, in Kuala Lumpur. He talked about his feelings on being the first Chinese to have the job, and gave a CCTV correspondent in the Malaysian capital a preview of what he hopes to do in the position.
The 59-year-old Zhang is a highly respected and well-known sports administrator. He's served in several key positions in his AFC career, which spans 30 years.
Zhang served as the Director of the Sports Department at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. He was also a member of the 2006 and 2010 FIFA World Cup Organizing Committee.
