Today marks the one month countdown to the opening of the FINA World Championships in Shanghai. Here's more on how Chinese national swimming, synchronized swimming and water polo teams are gearing up for the event.

The national swimmers are now attending a training camp in Beijing, after completing an intense physical workout.

On the women's side, 2009 Rome World Champion Zhao Jing is among the top seeds, alongside Olympic champion Liu Zige and Olympic silver medalist Jiao Liuyang.

Zhao Jing said, "I don't have a big goal. All I want to do is to display my strength after my training in Australia. The training helped me a lot."

Meanwhile, China's synchronized swimming team is also getting ready for Shanghai. The team's practice focuses on every single move, which makes up a whole routine. According to Japanese head coach Masayo Imura, the swimmers are undertaking 7 hours of training each day for the next two weeks.

Olympic duet bronze medalists, twin sisters Jiang Wenwen and Jiang Tingting, are medal hopefuls for the world championships.

Finally, China's national women's water polo team will be a squad to watch at this year's World Championships. The team claimed a historic bronze medal for China at last year's World Cup. The side is considered one of the best in Asia. Coaches hope this edition of the women's water polo team will achieve a podium finish at home.
