Saudi Arabia facing Jordan, Saudi Arabia needing a win to stay alive.

Jordan claimed a shock lead in the 42nd minute. Baha'a Abdelrahman lofted a cross into the Saudi penalty area that Waleed Abdullah came to collect, but the goalkeeper mis-judged the flight of the ball and it embarrassingly floated over his head and into the back of the net. Jordan 1-0

Jordan's advantage was hanging by a thread and Saudi Arabia lookeded to grab an equalizer from a late corner kick.

However, Saud Kariri failed to steer his header down and the ball cleared the crossbar.

Jordan held on to claim a memorable 1-0 win and they moved to the top of the Group B.

Saudi Arabia are out of the tournament.

Saudi Arabia coach Nasser Al Johar said, "We missed many chances. We were unlucky to concede that goal as it was meant to be a cross. I do not think that the Saudi team was bad. If it was a bad team it would have conceded three goals or more. We faced a strong opponent, but we possessed the ball more than the opposite team in both halves of the match. As for star players, w! e do not look for the star players and try to use them in the match just because they are stars."

Jordan coach Adnan Hamad said, "It was a great and difficult match against the Saudi team. The three points were very important today. We wasted the opportunity to win three points in the last seconds of the match against Japan. The players compensated for that today. I am grateful for the great performance they produced today. We still have a very difficult match against Syria. I hope the players will continue to perform well to qualify to the second round."

Watch Video Play Video A long-awaited moment for China at the Asian Winter Games. It happened during a gold medal run in the women's 1500 meters speed skating event. Chinese skater Wang Fei raced her way into the record books. She set a new Asian mark for the 1500 metres, crossing the line at 1 minute 58.37 seconds. It was 1-and-a-half seconds under the previous record time she set four years ago. South Korean Noh Seonyeong took second place. The bronze went to Japanese skater Kodaira Nao.
