S. Korea beat Uzbekistan 3-2 to finish third

The finals of the Asian Cup, set for later tonight as Japan will play Australia. Last night, South Korea and Uzbekistan took to the pitch for the third/fourth-place play-off on Friday. The winner, would book their place in the 2015 edition of the tournament.
Midfielder Lee Yong Rae released Koo Ja-cheol who produced a calm, long-range finish for his fifth goal of the tournament.
Little more than 10 minutes later, South Korea extended their lead. Ji Dong-won found some space on the right, and fired the ball home for a 2-0 lead.

Dong-won was the target man once more, with half-time approaching.
Ki Sung Yeung launched the ball forward, and the striker rose above the defence to steer his header on target - and give his side a commanding three-nil lead.
Uzbekistan would get one back
Hwang Jae Wong took Olim Novkarov down with a clumsy challenge on the edge of the box.
Alexander Geynrikh calmly ri! fled the ball past Jung Sungryong for a 3-1 scoreline.
Buoyed by their goal, Uzbekistan started the second half positively and forced their way back into the match.
Stanislav Andreev found Geynrikh once more - and he stepped past two defenders before beating Sungryong. But that was as much as they could muster.
