Barcelona come back to thump Real 3-1

"El Clasico" in the Spanish Primera Liga. Pep Guardiola's Barcelona and Real Madrid met at the Bernabeu for their 12th edition of El Clasico since Guardiola took over the reins at Barca. His squads have compiled a 7-4 record in the previous meetings, but Real coach Jose Mourinho's team was on a roll. Real went after its 10th league win in a row and 15th in all competitions.

Real fans had every right to think this was their teams night.

Angel Di Marias cross found its way to French international Karim Benzema. Barcas Victor Valdes was victimized - 1-0 Real Madrid.

But the European champion showed signs of life behind World Player of the Year Lionel Messi. He almost scored after a spectacular run.

And the visitors would get a third goal in the 66th minute. Daniel Alves sent a deep cross for former Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas - 3-1 was the final. Barcelona takes another win against Real Madrid, and marks Pep Guardiolas eighth victory in the series. Barca moves to the league lead on goal difference, with 37 points on the table from 16 matches in Spain.
