St. Louis win forces World Series Game 7

David Freese hit the game-winning home run in extra innings as the St. Louis Cardinals edged the Texas Rangers 10-9 to force a game seven in the 107th World Series.

Freese's walk-off homer to centre field in the bottom of the 11th inning capped a wild see-saw battle that levelled the World Series at three games each.

Watch Video Play Video A long-awaited moment for China at the Asian Winter Games. It happened during a gold medal run in the women's 1500 meters speed skating event. Chinese skater Wang Fei raced her way into the record books. She set a new Asian mark for the 1500 metres, crossing the line at 1 minute 58.37 seconds. It was 1-and-a-half seconds under the previous record time she set four years ago. South Korean Noh Seonyeong took second place. The bronze went to Japanese skater Kodaira Nao.
