NHL: Leafs edge Jets in shootout

The former University of Minnesota star had a goal and two assists extending his NHL lead in goals and points to help the Maple Leafs rally for a 4-3 shootout victory over the Winnipeg Jets on Wednesday night.

Would the Serb stretch his unbeaten run to 34 matches or would the Spaniard, on his favored clay surface, take his record to 10 victories over Djokovic in 10 attempts on clay. The defending champion Nadal was looking to extend his run of 37 successive victories on clay, while Djokovic was aiming for his sixth consecutive title to stretch his unbeaten run to 34 matches since the start of the season. Wang Fei resets 1500m speed skating Asian record

Watch Video Play Video A long-awaited moment for China at the Asian Winter Games. It happened during a gold medal run in the women's 1500 meters speed skating event. Chinese skater Wang Fei raced her way into the record books. She set a new Asian mark for the 1500 metres, crossing the line at 1 minute 58.37 seconds. It was 1-and-a-half seconds under the previous record time she set four years ago. South Korean Noh Seonyeong took second place. The bronze went to Japanese skater Kodaira Nao.
