DONGFANG, South China, Oct. 26 (Xinhua) --- Dutch rider Kenny Van Hummel from Skil-Shimano was timed four hours 36 minutes and 52 seconds to win the seventh stage of 2011 Tour of Hainan held here on Wednesday.

Hainan barring any mishaps in the final stage around Sanya
tomorrow.
Hummel also won the the sixth stage and this is his second time to win the stage this year.
Meanwhile, Hummel got the green jersey for leading the sprints classifications.
The second place went to Chan Jae Jang from Terengganu Cycling Team of Malaysia with 4:36:53 and the third place to Danielle Colli from GEOX-TMC of Spain with 4:36:53.
Justin Jules from Velo-Club La Pomme Marseille of Latvia retained the yellow jersey for the first seven stages for leading the general individual classifications, 6 seconds ahead of Valentin Iglinskiy from Pro Team Astana in this aspect.
So far, Valentin Iglinskiy is still the best Asian rider.

"We have not taken King of Mountain as our objective and also I myself is not a good climber." Hummel said that at the beginning of the stage, their team worked together and also tried to be close to most riders and finally he began to break out of the riders with the help of his teammates. So he eventually won the stage.
When comparing 2011 Tour of Hainan with 2010, Hummel said that it is harder to win because the race level is higher and the teams are stronger than that of last year.
Justin Jules said that his team didn' t run out of power Wednesday and felt comfortable during the whole stage. As they caught up with most riders and never fell behind, they could ensure the present position unchanged.
Valentin Iglinskiy said that in terms of general individual, 6 seconds was not easy to catch, but he would try his best to get the yellow jersey back.
Thursday will witness the 184.7km eighth stage from Dongfang city in Western Hainan to Sanya city in Southernmost Hainan.

Kazahkstan rider Valentin Iglinskiy (Astana) knows the feeling of a win in Hainan. Iglinskiy won the race last year after getting into a break on the first day and never surrendered the lead.
