Chinese basketball superstar, Yao Ming, will announce his decision on his playing future in Shanghai on July 20th.
NBA sources hint the iconic player is on the verge of retirement. Ankle injuries are believed to have led to his impending retirement. The Houston Rockets center declined to comment and the NBA has still not received official retirement paperwork from Yao. An eight-time All-Star veteran, Yao has played nine seasons with an average of 19 points and 9.2 rebounds per game. His injuries limited him to only five games last season.
