Australia unveils uniform for Olympic opening ceremony

Play VideoAustralias Olympic team has unveiled their new uniform for the opening ceremony of the London Olympics - a return to the countrys traditional sporting colours of green and gold.
Three-time Olympic gold medal winning swimmer Libby Trickett helped design the outfits and was among the models on the catwalk in Sydney although she wont be taking part in the opening ceremony because it is scheduled to last for several hours and she is competing the following day.

Trickett missed out on an individual berth for London and although she has qualified for the 100 freestyle relay team her place is not yet confirmed - a tough place for the Aussie great to be.
Libby Trickett said, "Its tough because I dont know necessarily that Im going to race. Im going to train as hard as I can to get myself in the best possible position to get on that relay team because I want to represent my country, I want to swim for Australia and hopefully do the best job that we can for the three other girls on the team. "

Nick Green, Australian Team Chef De Mission, said, "Were actually in very good shape. Our athletes are just fine tuning their preparation. Weve got a strong team, over 400 athletes well send to the Olympic Games in London. Some sports are still going through their final selection process. Weve got a strong team and weve got a team of some surprises, some individual absolutely talent but weve got some athletes who are really coming through at the moment in their preparation who I think are going to surprise a lot of people when they get to London."
